The Seglervereinigung Hüde has been Lower Saxony state sailing base since 2010. The infrastructure at Dümmer forms the backbone for the promotion of competitive sports in the Lower Saxony Sailing Association. In addition, the majority of the Lower Saxony squad coaches are based here in the club and took their first successful steps as coaches here In addition to the regular training sessions for the squad groups and the Lower Saxony Europe Team, the state base is also used for the annual Dümmer Sailing Camp.
